FNA- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Sunday strongly condemned Saturday's twin terrorist blast in the city of Homs in Syria.
Qassemi expressed sympathy with the Syrian government, nation and families of victims of these horrific crimes.
Undoubtedly, the blasts aim to cause a halt in the peace process and any possible agreement, which demands awareness of all Syrian sides in this specific time, the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said.
He underlined that to confront the terrorist crimes a comprehensive fight at different levels of politics and culture in addition to military acts need an international consensus and determination to uproot terrorism and extremism in the region and world.
On Saturday, simultaneous bombings targeted separate areas across the western city of Homs, which is largely under government control, claiming the lives of 42 people.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights described the attacks as double bombings hitting the headquarters of state security and military intelligence in two central districts'.
The Jabhat Fatah al-Sham terrorist group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, claimed responsibility for the Saturday attacks.
