IRNA Managing Director of Iran's Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) Seyed Nureddin Shahnazi Zadeh says oil production from Yadavaran and Azadegan joint fields have exceeded that of Iraq.
Shahnazizadeh told a press conference that total production from joint fields west of Karoon will rise up to 320,000 barrels per day by end of this year.
If needed, we can raise the eventual production capacity through certain fields in the region up to 360,000 barrels per day. Oil production from non-joint field of Dar Khoein is 160,000 barrels per day. Total production from joint fields west of Karoon and non-joint field of Darkhoein will reach more than 500,000 barrels per day, according to the official.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Shahnazizadeh put in-place oil production from fields west of Karoon at 67 billion barrels.
