Veep: Iran sees no limit for cooperation with EU
IRNA The First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri says Iran considers no limit in cooperation with the European Union.

Jahangiri further told Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Information, Peter Pellegrini, that Iran welcomes presence of Slovakian companies investment.

He underlined formation of Iran-Slovakia joint cooperation commission to expand ties.

Jahangiri said in order to expand economic relations, Tehran and Bratislava need to form joint cooperation commission with their ministers being its members and identify grounds for cooperation and remove existing impediments.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has had good relations with former Czechoslovakia in industrial domain and such a positive background in economic relations between the two countries along with existing capacity can prepare the ground for economic tries between Iran and Slovakia.

He welcomed exchange of delegations and visit of officials of the two countries and said the visits play effective role in expansion of ties. I hope that your visit will result in drastic development in bilateral relations and expansion of bilateral, regional and international relations.

He said the two countries should try to solve banking problems.

He went on to refer to huge oil and gas resources of Iran which can serve as a very good ground for investment of Slovakian companies and export of energy to Europe.

He said Iran is ready for the expansion of economic and cultural cooperation with Slovakia and hoped for inking a cooperation agreement in the field of culture.

Jahangiri also welcomed ties between Iranian and Slovakian universities and setting up Persian language courses in a Slovakian university.

Iran will throw necessary support for the gesture, he added.

The Slovak official also described Iran-Slovakia ties as positive and constructive since long ago.

He urged political as well as economic ties between Iran and Slovakia.

Slovakia fully supports the JCPOA. Slovakia opposes sanctions against any country and has never supported sanctions against Iran, believing that sanctions will not help anybody.

To the end of his remarks, Pellegrini said Iran has good R&D knowledge and Iran and Slovakia can have cooperation in new technologies and joint research projects.
