Exports from free trade zones up 30%

Tehran Times- The value of exports from Irans free trade zones has witnessed a 30 percent rise from the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2016), compared to the same period of time in the past year, a deputy at the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Irans Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones announced.


According to Mehdi Bazargan, the countrys value of exports from the free trade zones has increased to $850 million in the mentioned period, IRIB reported on Friday.

The official noted that the figure for the last years exports was reported to be $650 million.

It is estimated that by the yearend (March 20), the annual exports from the free trade zones will register a 29 percent rise compared to the previous year, he added.
