No group has claimed responsibility forthe explosion so far.
The explosion took place four days aftera deadly twin suicide blast inDamascus. On Saturday, two blasts occurred nearBab al-Saghir cemetery inDamascus. Syrian Interior Minister Mohammad Shaar confirmed that atleast 40 people were killed and 120 injured asa result ofthe attack.
The Tahrir al Sham militant group, which was organized atthe initiative ofthe Jabhat Fatah al Sham terror group (formerly known asal-Nusra Front), is said tohave claimed responsibility forthe attack.
