IRNA The two-day visit to Moscow by President Hassan Rouhani and his delegation is expected to see the signing of 10 cooperation documents and drawing the roadmap for furthering future ties.
On the itinerary of President Rouhanis Monday trip to Moscow, are a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin as well as a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
President Rouhani is scheduled to attend a dinner banquet and visit a group of Iranians living in Russia.
The president is also expected to lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the vicinity of the Kremlin and to receive an honorary doctorate degree from a Moscow state university.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mahmoud Vaezi, who accompany President Rouhani during the trip, are scheduled as well to hold talks with their Russian counterparts.
Putin and Rouhani have met six times in the past during international meetings held in third countries.
They have also met once in the Iranian capital Tehran and once in Ufa, the capital city of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Russia.
