Culture minister in Tunis to confer with Tunisian officials

IRNA Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri, who is in Tunis on an official visit, conferred with Tunisian Minister of Religious Affairs Ahmed Adhoum here on Friday.

In the meeting, Salehi Amiri exponded on different religious activities in Iran and expressed readiness for transferring experiences to the Tunisian side.

He also asked for participation of Tunisian religious circles in Irans cultural activities, especially in different Holy Quran competitions.

The Tunisian Minister welcomed Iranian delegation visit to Tunisia and underlined the necessity of using Iranian experiences in the fields of Hajj and pilgrimage, mosque affairs, religious art as well as religious movies.

Salehi Amiri departed Tehran on Monday at invitation of Algerian and Tunisian Culture Ministers to pay visits to these two countries and sign cultural and art cooperation documents, especially in the field of cinema.

During his stay in Algeria, Salehi Amiri met with a number of senior officials of that country.

In Tunisia, Salehi Amiri attends an international book fair, inaugurates Iranian film week in Tunis, and meets with cultural officials of Tunisia.
