Iran welcomes negotiations with PGCC

IRNA Iranian authorities welcome holding consultation with members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC), said Iran's Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati referring to the correspondence between the two sides and President Hassan Rouhani's recent visit to Kuwait.

Speaking to reporters in Kuwait City, the ambassador said on Wednesday that the recent message by the Emir of Kuwait for conducting joint talks between Iran and the PGCC member states has supported making bilateral consultations.
Enayati stressed that President Rouhanis visit to Kuwait in February took place in line with the same policy.
He said that the two sides have to continue sending further messages and making more visits as they are highly important for the region and that it takes some time to witness positive impacts of such moves

The only way to overcome problems is the talks between Iran and PGCC and Tehran is hopeful of the success of such efforts because there are wise and sapient figures in the region who properly know what are its current needs, Enayati stressed.

Referring to rich resources of the Middle East region, the ambassador said having joint negotiations and consultations would lead to maintain stability.

He noted that Iran, Iraq and other PGCC members can have effective cooperation with each other to overcome present regional challenges including terrorism.

Enayati also dismissed recent accusations made by US officials about Irans alleged support for terrorism describing them as worthless and rejected words.
