Iran, Turkmenistan stress improvement of all-out ties
IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Turkmenistan President Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov in a meeting on Monday underlined improvement of all-out ties between the two states.


During the meeting in the Oguzkhan Palace, the two officials explored avenues for development of bilateral relations.

The Turkmenistan president referred to historical ties between Iranian and Turkmen people and said that the friendly and brotherly relations between Tehran and Ashgabat have been always increasing on a daily basis.

It is for years that Iran and Turkmenistan have good relations in various fields of politics, economy and culture, he added.

The official said that consultations between Iran and Turkmenistan have been always fruitful.

The Turkmenistan president asked Zarif to convey his greeting to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

During the meeting, Iranian foreign minister for his part conveyed President Rouhanis congratulation for Berdymukhamedov re-election.

As the Irans Leader said during his Excellency visit to Tehran, we are relatives and we feel to be in our brothers home when we are here in Ashgabat, Zarif said.

He underlined that Iran-Turkmenistan relations have always benefited the two countries and helped consolidation of peace and stability in the region and the world.

Zarif hailed Turkmenistan president initiation for adopting the rational policy of neutrality.

Praising 25 years of good neighborliness between Iran and Turkmenistan, he voiced hope for continuation of friendly relations between the two states in the future.

Iranian foreign minister is scheduled also to meet with Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Moradov afterwards.

Zarif and the delegation accompanying him will also attend the Iran-Turkmenistan trade forum held in the countrys Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The foreign minister will leave Ashgabat for Tbilisi on Monday evening and Bishkek is the last leg of his Central Asian tour.

Over 20 businessmen and representatives of companies are accompanying Zarif in his three-day official visit.
