Earthquake hits two provinces of Iran

An earthquake took place near the Gulpaygan city in Iranian province of Isfahanat 07:39 (local time) on Wednesday, ILNA news agency reported.
According to the seismological service of the Tehran University, the earthquake measured 4.9 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake caused damage to several houses in 20 villages, and three people were injured.

On Wednesday the earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale also took place in the Sardasht city of Iranian West Azerbaijan Province, MEHR news agency reported.

Over the last three weeks three strong earthquakes took place in the territory of Iran. As a result 33 people died, 877 people were injured.
