FNA- Iranian Industry Minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh declared that a special team will probe into a deadly blast incident in a coalmine in the Northern part of the country.

"A fact-finding committee has been set up to look into the incident caused by a deadly blast in Zemestanyurt coal mine in the Northern city of Azadshahr in Golestan province ten days ago," Nematzadeh said.

He noted that the committee will start its work on Sunday. The committee consists of two university professors, three to four veteran miners and two former mine directors.

A committee attended by Nematzadeh and Labor Minister Ali Rabiei has also been formed in Tehran to investigate the issue as well.

Earlier reports said that some 43 miners were killed and 73 people were also injured in the accident.

Zemestanyurt coal mine in Azadshahr region is situated 90 kilometers East of the provincial capital city of Gorgan in Golestan province.

Over 500 miners work at Azadshahr coal mine, 14 km away from Azadshahr city 90 km east of Gorgan, the capital city of Golestan Province.
