IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that Tehran hopes that there will be no need to construct wall or set barbed wires between Iran and Pakistan along borders and all witness peaceful coexistence with the neighboring states.
Speaking to reporters in his weekly press briefing, he said after the bitter incident in Mirjaveh border region, Iran did its best not to miss the chance and the Iranian foreign minister heading a delegation visited Pakistan and met with the countrys military, police and security officials on various issues.
'It is hoped that initiation of diplomatic approach towards Pakistan would bear fruit in order to witness a much desirable status in borderlines,' Qasemi said.
On construction of wall in Iran-Turkey borders, he said Iran never let any group to attack its neighboring states from its soil and will powerfully defend its borders, the foreign ministry spokesman added.
Iran never let any action to be taken against Turkey from its territory and 'we hope the same policy will be applied by Turkey to witness a safe border', he said.
