Iraj Nadimi said Saturday arms sales is a major part of US income and starting wars in the region helps Washington solve its financial problems.
A large number of wars, tensions and agitations are US-made, which means that their officials wage such wars to run a major part of affairs related to their country, he said.
Nadimi added that weapons sold to regional countries disturb peace in the Middle East and added that the countries which purchase such arms should clarify whether they are bought for defensive or offensive purposes.
On April 22, US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Israeli Minister of Military Affairs Moshe Yaalon finalized a new arms deal.
Hagel said that the United States will make available to Israel a set of advanced new military capabilities, including anti-radiation missiles and advanced radars for fighter jets, KC135 refueling aircraft, and most significantly the V-22 Osprey.
The US is also set to finalize weapons deals with the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
