Tasnim Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei denounced recent arms deal between Washington and some reactionary states, saying the Arab countries are attempting in vain to attract the devotion of the enemies of Islam with money.
Some reactionary countries are under the illusion that they can attract the devotion of the enemies of Islam with money, the Leader said, addressing a Quranic meeting on Saturday evening.
The reality is that there is no sincerity (betweenArab reactionary states and Washington) and as the Americans, themselves, have said, they will milk them and ultimately slaughter them, Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
The Leader further highlighted the Saudi regimes heinous crimes in Yemen and the ongoing crackdown on peaceful protests in Bahrain, saying that as the Quran has pledged the illegitimate will be destroyed.
Those who commit such measures against Muslims are illegitimate and the illegitimate will certainly face decline and collapse, the leader said, adding, Of course, the time of their destruction depends on how the faithful people would act and if the faithful society acts correctly, the destruction of the illegitimate will occur sooner.
Ayatollah Khamenei also emphasized that as God has promised, the future belongs to Islam, the Quran and the faithful youths.
The Leader added that however, even if this divine pledge had not existed, such prediction is correct and logical given the experience of the Iranian nation over the past four decades.
The remarks came as Yemens defenseless people have been under massive attacks by a coalition led by the Saudi regime for more than two years.
Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
According to Yemens Legal Center of Rights and Development, the Saudi campaign has so far claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
