Saudis' reliance on US not to benefit them: Speaker advisor

IRNA Saudi and Bahraini rulers reliance on US President Donald Trump will not benefit them, Majlis(parliament) Speaker Special Aide for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday.


He made the remarks in a meeting with Hamas Representative in Tehran Khaled Ghadoumi.

The official conveyed Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani's congratulatory message for election of Ismail Haniyeh as head of Hamas political office.

Amir-Abdollahian declared continuation of Iran's support for the Palestinian nation.

Unity of Palestinian groups and the resistance is the key for their successes, he added.

Amir-Abdollahian noted that Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have deprived the Zionist regime of tranquility and calm.

Intensification of crack downs in Bahrain and Yemen is the result of US green light to the Al-Khalifa and Saudi regimes, he added.

The official said that Arabic countries will not normalize relations with the Zionist regime and Quds remains the first kiblah of Muslims.

Making unreal collations will not result in forgetting the Palestinian ideals, he said.

The Hamas official, for his part, said that in the its new charter, Hamas has not withdrawn from the previous version and has not recognized the occupying forces of the Zionist regime.

The Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia is rooted in the chaos existed in the world system, he added.

The envoy praised Iran for holding the Palestinian intifada international conference in Tehran.

He called for upholding the pivot of resistance in the region in a bid to elevate regional security and stability.
