IRNA -- Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an in the Turkish presidential palace on Wednesday.
The meeting was also attended by Mevlt avu?o?lu and lasted for 55 minutes.
Upon arriving in Ankara, Zarif told reporters that he was in Turkey to meet the Turkish president and foreign minister to talk about issues of mutual interest, regional developments, Syrian and current issue.
Saying that the situation in the region is concerning, he said it was necessary for Iranian and Turkish officials to hold close talks about the issues.
He added that there have been terrorist events in the region, which necessitate all-out cooperation in this matter.
