Sputnik - Iranian Armed Forces' Depity Chief of Staff Mostafa Izadi claimed that Tehran allegedly has evidence proving US' "direct support to Daesh," Fars news agency reported.





The Iranian Major General was cited byFars assaying that Iran allegedly "possesses documents and information" proving the accusations.
"As the Supreme Leader ofthe Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei) said, we possess documents and information showing the direct supports bythe US imperialism forthis highly disgusting stream (the ISIL) [Daesh] inthe region which has destroyed the Islamic countries and created a wave ofmassacres and clashes," Fars cited Mostafa Izadi assaying.


He also said that Iran is facing "a proxy warfare inthe region asa new trick bythe arrogant powers againstthe Islamic Republic," apparently speaking aboutthe terror attacks inTehran earlier this week.


On June 7, a group ofarmed men attacked the Iranian Parliament and Imam Khomeini shrine inTehran. ?Four gunmen attacked the building ofthe Iranian parliament onWednesday morning. Two ofthem was captured and one ofthe attackers blew himself upinside the building.

Several attackers raided the shrine ofthe late founder ofthe Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, South ofthe capital Tehran. The attackers started a shooting atthe visitors ofthe shrine, One ofthe attackers detonated himself infront ofa police station oppositethe shrine.

Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility forthe terrorist attacks.

Earlier, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry announced that three terrorist teams attempted tolaunch attacks indifferent parts ofTehran onWednesday, FarNews reported adding that members ofa terrorist group were arrested beforetaking any actions.

Following deadly terrorist attacks inTehran, US President Donald Trump offered his condolences toIran, but stressed that the country brought the attack onitself asthe "states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim tothe evil they promote."

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called Trumps remark "repugnant" and said that "Iranians counter terror backed bythe US."

Earlier this week, the Russian General Staff accused the US-led coalition of "conspiring withDaesh" asthe terrorists were let toescape encirclement inSyria.
