FNA- Iranian Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi warned that the country's Armed Forces will give an unforgivable lesson to the ISIL terrorists and their supporters.
"The ISIL is like a wild dog and we will not only annihilate them easily but also give a response to their masters too," General Salehi said after visiting the country's Western borders on Sunday.
Stressing that no danger threatens Iran's Western borders, he said, "We are not present here merely for defense but we are stationed here for hunting (the terrorists) too."
His remarks came as the Iranian security forces arrested tens of ISIL terrorists after the group's recent attacks in Tehran.
Three male assailants fired several rounds at the guards protecting the parliament building in Tehran on June 7. The assailants opened their way into the parliament's administrative building while shooting at the guards.
A similar attack took place at the holy shrine of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, parallel with the parliament attack.
17 people, including the parliament's guards, were killed and 52 others were wounded in the twin attacks.
The ISIL claimed responsibility for the twin terrorist attacks.
After the attacks, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in a statement vowed to take revenge from the terrorists and their supporters.
