Tasnim A senior Iranian lawmaker praised the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for its recent missile raid against Daesh (ISIL) Takfiri terrorists in Syria, saying the measure proved Irans capability to nip any threat in the bud.
The IRGC missile operation against Daesh was powerful, courageous and dignifying, Rapporteur of the Iranian Parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said on Wednesday.
The move delighted the Iranian nation and gave a warning to all of those who try to threaten the countrys national security, he underlined.
It also proved that we are capable of nipping any kind of threat in the bud, the senior lawmaker went on to say.
On Sunday night, the IRGC fired six high-precision missiles at positions of the Daesh terrorist group in Syrias Deir ez-Zor.
According to reports, all of the missiles hit their targets, wreaking destruction on Daesh sites and killing dozens of terrorists.
It came in response to the terrorist attack in Tehran earlier this month that was claimed by Daesh.
On June 7, Daesh terrorists launched simultaneous attacks on Irans parliament building in downtown Tehran and on the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, south of the city.
The attacks left 17 people dead and more than 40 others wounded.
