MNA � Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei on Mon. called on the judiciary branch to become more involved in legal pursuit of international issues such as sanctions or US seizure of Iranian assets.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received Judiciary Head Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani and a number of the branch�s officials on Monday on the occasion of Judiciary Week.

He stressed that protection of public rights and advocating people�s legitimate freedoms is among the most important responsibilities of the judiciary, calling on the branch to confront any opponent to public rights regardless of the individual�s status.

The Leader attached great significance to the legal pursuit of international issues, adding �the judiciary branch must get involved in and voice its decisive stance on issues such as the anti-Iranian sanctions, US confiscations of Iranian assets, terrorism, or in support of oppressed figures across the world such as Shia cleric Sheikh al-Zakzaky or Muslims in Myanmar and Kashmir.�

Ayatollah Khamenei further commended the judiciary branch for carrying out surprise inspections in various cities across the country aimed at discovering and confronting law violations, calling for even more of such inspections and a reform in the internal structure of the judiciary.
