IRNA -- Fighting threats requires modern equipment, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said.

Pourdastan made the remarks on the sidelines of visiting police Special Forces unit.

Fortunately, people can rely on Special Forces' exemplary modern equipment, he said.

Pourdastan pointed to belief, commitment, discipline, expertise, combat capabilities, physical power and suitable equipments as prerequisites of rapid response units.

He urged armed forces to adopt a consistent approach to increase their theoretical and practical skills.
