MNA � Powerlifting team of Iran Global Power Union (IGPU) won the title at European Championships GPF powerlifting in Kiev, Ukraine.


The Iranian outfit in European Championship 2017 was coached by Saeed Fazeli and was headed by Samed Ghoreishi.

The team members in powerlifting included Saeed Fazeli, Mahdi Khodayari, Mohammad Reza Ahmadi, Mohammad Hossein Shahani, Azim Hajizadeh, Ebrahim Khatibi and Marjan Heydarzadeh who became champion of the competition.

In bench press, Samed Ghoreishi, Mohammad Daryai, Majid Dehqani, Ahmad Reza Zohrab, Behzad Mohammadpoor Motlaq, Ali Basatin, Pourya Mahmoodi breezed past rivals and clinched gold trophies.

Ghoreishi who is also Head of IGPU and International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) representative said that the team of IGPU will take part in the World League in Russia in October this year.
