MNA Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Muhammad Asifis slated for a visit to Tehran tomorrow to hold talks with Iranian senior officials on regional and international issues, FM spokesman Ghasemi said Sun.
According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi, Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asifis scheduled for a one-day visit to Tehran on Monday to confer with Iranian officials on political and economic relations as well as the latest international and regional developments.
The Pakistani top diplomat said during a press conference on Thursday that his visit to Tehran would include meetings with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif and President Hassan Rouhani.
Khawaja Muhammad Asifbrought up the US new plan in Afghanistan during his visit to China on Thursday. He said he would also touch upon the issue during his meetings with Iranian officials.
Trumps new strategy in Afghanistan prolongs the presence of American troops in the South Asian country for another four years, and also increases their number by 3,900, adding to some 11,000 US forces already there.
