JCPOA brings $14b foreign investment to Iran: 1st VP

IRNA First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said here on Sunday that Iran has attracted about 14 billion dollars of direct foreign investment after the July 2015 nuclear deal.

'Petrochemicals' is among the main industries in Iran, Jahangiri noted at IranPlast international exhibition which started work this morning with participation of 23 countries.

Petrochemical is a dynamic industry being compatible with Iran's domestic policies, Jahangiri added.

About Iranian governments' plan on the petrochemical industry, the veep said that the government has prioritized attracting the direct foreign investment to this field.

The 11th International Exhibition of Plastics Rubber, Machinery and Equipment (IranPlast 2017) kicked off here on Sunday with participation of 23 world countries.

Also, 600 domestic and 524 foreign companies from 23 countries have attended the international event underway in Tehran.
