IRNA - President of the Turkish Republican People's Party Kemal K?l?daro?lu urged Iran, Iraq and Turkey to find a solution to Iraqi Kurdistan Region referendum.
K?l?daro?lu called for establishing cooperation between three countries over Iraqi Kurdistan Region independence.
Turkish Republican People's Party as the second biggest party in Turkey together with Nationalist Movement Party and Justice and Development Party is against holding referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
While Iraq has lately been involved in counter-terrorism operations against the terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) in its western areas, it is now facing new challenges over holding a referendum in the Kurdistan Region which is governed by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), with the city of Erbil as its capital.
Efforts are underway both from inside and outside Iraq to resolve the existing problem between Baghdad and Erbil.
An independence referendum approved by Iraqi Kurdistan parliament was held on September 25 despite harsh oppositions from the federal government in Baghdad, and warnings from neighboring countries on the repercussions.
