IRNA � Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif returned home late on Friday, wrapping up his five-day African tour.

His three-leg African tour first took him to South Africa and later to Uganda and Niger, respectively.

During his two-day trip to South Africa, Zarif first attended Iran-South Africa Trade Forum and then held talks with the country�s high-ranking officials, including President Jacob Zuma and Foreign Minister Mashabane.

When in Uganda, Zarif conferred with the country�s President Yoweri Museveni and Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa. He also inaugurated Iran-Uganda treatment center during his two-day visit to the country.

On the last leg of his African tour, Zarif arrived in Niger late on Thursday accompanied by high-ranking political and economic delegation.

During his one-day stay in Niger, he held talks with President Mahamadou Issoufou, Prime Minister Briji Rafini and Foreign Minister Ibrahim Yacouba.

Economic, trade and technological delegates accompanying Zarif comprised Director General of Export Development Bank Ali Saleh-Abadi, Head of University Jihad Khosro Mokhtari, Managing Director of Shipping Organization Mohammad Saeedi, Deputy Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Masoud Khansari and Head of Rouyan Research Center Hamid Gourabi.

Meanwhile, representatives from Khuzestan Cement Company, Green Biotechnology, Shams Plast, Pars Mes Kangan and Holding Parsis producer of construction materials were also in the visiting delegation accompanying Zarif.
