North Korea not that crazy to negotiate with Trump: Iran

IFP - Iranian president says Pyongyang is not that much crazy to engage in negotiations with the Trump administration, which does not live up to its commitments under any international agreement.

The US calls on North Korea to sit for talks but Pyongyang is not that much crazy to do so because the US has shown in word and practice that it is not committed to any deal, President Hassan Rouhani said in an address to the Iranian parliament on Sunday.

Washingtons call for negotiation with North Korea is a ridiculous story because when you have failed to remain committed to an agreement you earlier signed, youd better refrain from talking about a new deal, the Iranian president added.

He also referred to the US presence in the region and said with the arrival of the US, the stability of Iraq and Afghanistan has vanished. Now the US is calling for interference in the internal affairs of a country in the region which has stood by other regional nations.

The Iranian president went on saying Iran will not hesitate to produce, store and if necessary use any weapons in defence of its sovereignty.

Producing missiles does not violate any international law and Iran will press ahead with its missile program more strongly, he added.

Dont doubt that any violation of the commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is against your own interest and the Islamic Republic of Iran will give a crushing response, he concluded.
