IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif heading a high-profile delegation left Tehran for Yerevan on Tuesday.
The visit to Armenia is made upon an invitation by Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandyan.
Zarif is to hold meetings with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and also the Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan. During the meetings, both sides will discuss bilateral ties, regional issues and cooperation in various fields.
He will also take part in a meeting with Iranian businessmen and investors in Yerevan. The meeting aims at reviewing ways to promote trade cooperation between Iran and Armenia and to remove barriers.
