Direct Belgrade-Tehran flights help boost tourism: Serbian envoy

IRNA Serbian Ambassador to Iran Dragan Todorovic said on Sunday that agreements have been reached to establish direct flights between Belgrade and Tehran, which can help further development of the two countrys tourism sectors.

In a meeting with Head of Iran-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Parvaneh Salahshouri, he added that lifting visa requirements will also contribute to boosting tourism between Iran and Serbia.

Referring to the visit of Iran-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group to Belgrade in October, he said that the trip considerably eased ties between the two countries state and private sectors.

Removal of visa requirements will help the two nations a lot to get to know each other better and develop tourism, he said, referring to lifting visa requirements between the two countries in recent months.

The envoy voiced his countrys readiness to enhance all-out ties with Iran.

Ms. Salahshouri, for her part, evaluated her visit to Serbia at the head of Irans parliamentary group as positive, saying that Iran-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group held good meetings with Serbian officials and good agreements were reached during the visit.

Members of the Iran-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group are pursuing implementation of the agreements made earlier, she said.

Inviting Serbia-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group to visit Tehran, she said Iranian Majlis (parliament) is ready to continue parliamentary dialogues with the aim of easing friendly relations.
