11 killed, 28 wounded in Kabul's blast

IRNA At least 11 people were killed and 28 more were injured in a suicide attack in the Afghan capital, Kabul, the spokesman of Afghanistan Ministry of Public health said on Friday.

Waheed Majrooh told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that a suicide bomber exploded himself during a clash between Afghan police and drug dealers in Bannai neighborhood on Thursday evening.

He did not disclose how many of the casualties were police or civilians, but said that some police forces have also been killed in the incident.

Kabul's police spokesman Basir Mujahid has confirmed that five police forces were killed and 11 more were injured.

The terrorist group Daesh (ISIS) claimed the responsibility of the blast as its third attack in the past seven days in Afghanistan.
