IRNA - An earthquake measuring 5 on Richter scale shook Sumar in the western province of Kermanshah bordering Iraq at 1:47 hours local time (22: 17 GMT) on Saturday.
According to the Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the epicenter of the quake was registered at 45.59 degrees longitude and 33.72 degrees latitude at the depth of 10 kilometers underground.
The temblor was reported to have no casualties or property damages.
The area was jolted by twin quakes measuring 5.6 and 5.4 on the Richter scale on January 11.
Kermanshah has been shaken by several earthquakes since November 12, 2017, when a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit the province's Ezgeleh region killing at least 620 people and injuring over 12,000.
