IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.2 on Richter scale jolted Baneh in the western province of Kordestan at 12:37 hours local time (09: 07 GMT) on Sunday.
According to the Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the epicenter of the quake was registered at 10 km of Armardeh City and at the depth of 9 kilometers underground.
No casualties or property damages have been reported. The quake also jolted Saqqez, Sardasht and Mahabad cities.
