IRNA- Iran's intelligence minister said on Sunday that defeating the terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) was one of the fruits of Iran's Islamic Revolution.
Speaking on the sidelines of a rally to mark the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in western Province of Kermanshah, Mahmoud Alavi said that foiling the plots hatched by the enemies in the region, the latest of which was Daesh, was the outcome of the Islamic Revolution.
'Islamic Revolution's influence has spread across the country, and every day we inch closer to the victories of the Islam's front in the region,' he said.
Millions of people in Tehran and thousands of other cities and towns all across Iran poured to the streets today to mark the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on Sunday.
Iranian people through a popular revolution toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 39 years ago, ending 2,500 years of absolute monarchy in the country.
