IRNA Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a message hailed negotiations with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
'Had fruitful talks with President Hassan Rouhani. We had detailed discussions on ways to further deepen cooperation between India and Iran,' Modi wote on his Twitter message released on Saturday.
Referring to the achievements made by the trip, he said in a separate message that 'Important agreements were signed between India and Iran, which will benefit our nations. President Hassan Rouhani and I released a stamp marking the warm history and promising future of India-Iran ties.'
The Iranian President's visit to India is taking place at the official invitation of the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited Iran last year.
President Rouhani is accompanied by Iranian Ministers of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif, Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh, Road and Urban Development Mohammad Akhoundi, and Industry Mohammad Shariatmadari.
A large delegation from Iranian private sector businessmen and tradesmen are also in India as part of the President Rouhani's delegation.
While in New Delhi, the Iranian President is to take part in Iran-India economic gathering.
