IRNA Iran will soon introduce incentive packages for foreign tourists to encourage them to visit tourist attractions of the country, head of Iran's cultural organization announced here on Saturday evening.
The incentive packages will be presented for the first time in Norouz, the Iranian New Year, 1397, Ali Asghar Mounesan, Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization told Islamic Republic News Agency in this northern Iranian city.
About five million foreign tourists visit Iran annually, but the country is making efforts to change the figure to 20 million, Mounesan said, adding the goal is accessible because Iran is considered as a cheap destination.
At present, he added, Iran's intensive package for foreign tourists is more expensive than that of in the neighboring countries, so Tehran is serious in lowering the prices of its packages.
Iran is an ancient country enjoying rich civilization and there are very many natural and tourist attractions in different parts of the country.
