FNA- Iranian Health Minister Seyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi announced on Saturday that Tehran and Budapest have inked several agreements in the field of health and hygiene, adding that Iran is willing to export medical equipment and medicine to Hungary.
"Fortunately, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for joint cooperation were signed in the health field between Iran and Hungary and a good opportunity has been provided for both countries," Qazizadeh Hashemi said after his recent visit to Hungary.
He underlined that the Iranian private sector is able to export medicine, medical equipment and agricultural goods to Hungary in addition to oil and energy products.
Earlier this week, Iran and Hungary signed an MoU on research, educational and scientific cooperation.
The documents were signed in a ceremony in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, attended by Qazizadeh Hashemi and Director of the Hungarian National Cancer Institute.
One of the documents concerns cooperation with the Iranian Health Ministry, and the other provides for cooperation with the research centers of one of Irans universities.
The Hungarian National Cancer Institute is one of the important research bodies working in the field of cancer and fighting the disease, and enjoys a significant status in Europe.
