IRNA French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Monday that cultural exchanges will help deepen and broaden relations and cooperation between Tehran and Paris and such cooperation has increased dramatically in the contemporary century.
He made the remarks in the special ceremony held at Iran's national museum.
Some 56 artifacts from Louvre museum from different countries such as Iran, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and India will be displayed at Iran national museum for four months from today.
'I am very happy to attend such fair on my first visit to Iran leading to further exchanges of political and cultural relations and cooperation between the two countries,' he said.
'I would like to appreciate the Iranian government for setting up such fair and hope to witness further expansion of cooperation in other sectors as well as upcoming exhibitions,' he said.
French foreign minister, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Tehran on Monday to confer with the country's officials on issues of mutual interests and regional developments.
