Iranian crashed ATR plane black box to be sent to France

IRNA The black box of the crashed Iranian ATR plane will be sent to France on Thursday, Head of Iran parliament development commission said.

'Due to lack of required equipment for deciphering the black box in Iran, it will be sent to France,' Mohammad Reza Rezaee Kouchi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Tuesday.

Information of the black box of the crashed plane needs technical examination to be decoded, and France as the manufacturer of the plane will help Iran in this regard, an Iranian official had earlier said.

Decoding the information of the black box which was founded on March 4 is possible in Iran, but the Iranian experts may need help from their French counterparts, Ali Abedzadeh, head of Iran Civil Aviation Organization told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.

A seven-member delegation from France flew to the Iranian capital to examine the reason behind the crash of an ATR passenger plane in central Iran on February 18.

The Asseman Airlines' passenger plane crashed in the Kohangan Village near the Padena region, 120 Km from Semirom in Isfahan Province, center of Iran. All 66 passengers and crew of the plane are reportedly killed.
