Velayati: UK neglects attack incident on Iran embassy

IRNA Member of the Expediency Council (EC) Ali Akbar Velayati said on Saturday that the British government has neglected the attack incident against Iran's embassy in London while they could prevent it.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of a meeting with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer.

For sure, British government is responsible for security of foreign political representative offices in the country, but they underlined preventing invasion of a number of hooligans.

He added that if British government wanted to stop these hooligans they could so, and they should be responsible for this.

Concerning his meeting with president of the ICRC, Velayati said the two sides discussed regional issues and humanitarian aids and Maurer underlined that for reconstruction and humanitarian aids for Syria, Iraq and Yemen is fully ready to accelerate their works.

Velayati added that the two sides agreed that solution for problems in West Asia and North Africa is not military, but political.

He said that Iran is also ready to dispatch humanitarian aids through international bodies for oppressed people of Yemen.
