MP: Efforts to release kidnapped Iranian border guard underway

IRNA - Head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Sunday that Tehran spares no efforts to liberate the kidnapped Iranian border guard who is now kept in Pakistan and is determined to continue its efforts.


Speaking on the latest status of the kidnapped Iranian border guard named Saeed Barati, he said the complementary news indicates that he is a soldier who has been kidnapped by a the groups residing in Pakistan and huge efforts for his liberation are underway.

The parliament's national security and foreign policy commission is now following up the issue, he underlined.

A group of Iranian border guards fought with bandits at Mirjaveh during which a number of border guards were injured and some others were killed, but the latest reports prove that Saeed Barati is now alive and still in the captivity of bandits in Pakistan.
