Iran eyes 28ml/d of Euro-4 petrol output by March 2019




SHANA - A senior Iranian refining official says the country is likely to enjoy a Euro-4 petrol output of 28ml/d by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20 2019.






Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Sadighabadi said the Euro-4 petrol output of the country will reach 28 million liters per day by the end of the current calendar year, adding the 2.5ml/d capacity of Lavan Refinery will reach 3 ml/d by late September.

Moreover, he added, the Euro-4 output of Abadan Refinery will cross 9 million liters per day, producing 2 ml/d of green petrol.

Sadeghabadi said that the production of Euro-5 gasoline in the first phase of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery was 12 million liters a day, adding: "Once fully operational, the total production of the refinery will reach 36 million liters per day; our vision for gasoline production by the end of the year 97 is 105 million liters per day of which 87 million liters will be Euro-4 and 5."

The NIORDC CEO announced that the second phase of the refinery is scheduled to come on stream in the coming few weeks, adding production at the facility's first phase has been stabilized and the second and third phases will come on-stream this year.
