A number of eminent Iranian musicians and vocalist are scheduled to present their programs at the 2013 Ethno Port Festival in Poznan, Poland.
Vocalist Ali Reza Qorbani along with the members of his ensemble, Ali Qasmsari, Saman Samimi and Hazahr Zahavi, will go on the Grand Hall stage on June 8.
Qorbani, who is a member of Iran's National Orchestra, has also participated in many successful concerts in different countries as well as festivals like the Sounds of Persia Festival in Toronto, Canada and the annual Festival de Saintes in France.
Internationally acclaimed Kamancheh virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor and the Turkish Baglama player Erdal Erzincan will also perform a duet at the Castle Courtyard on June 7.
Kalhor and Erzincan had earlier presented their joint programs at the New Yorks GlobalFest held at the citys Marlin Room in January, 2013.
Kalhor is known for his brilliant performances on the traditional instrument of Kamancheh and creating a unique mixture of classical Persian music with folk tunes of the Kurdistan region.
Organized by the Zamek Cultural Center, the Ethno Port Festival is one of the most important world music festivals in Poland.
The 2013 edition of Ethno Port Festival is programmed to take place from June 7 to 9.
