IRNA � Member of Parliament (Majlis) from Piranshahr and Sardasht Rasoul Khezri said on Monday that a highranking delegation will accompany Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade as well as governors general of Tehran, West Azarbaijan provinces and governor of Piranshahr city are to visit Erbil, Iraq Kurdistan Region, to expand trade ties.


He told Islamic Republic News Agency that he is to accompany the delegation, adding that consultations concerning border crossings and investment in both sides of the borders are to be cases of discussions.

Khezri said Iranian delegation is to depart for Erbil on Tuesday and they will hold talks with Iraqi Kurdistan officials on Wednesday.

Piranshahr and Sardasht cities are in south of West Azarbaijan province, which common border with north of Iraq and official customs of Tamarchin in Piranshahr is a main exchanging point between Iran and Iraq.

In year 1395 (2016-2017) 845,511 tons goods worth 122.450 million dollars were exported from this customs office, but in second half of year 1396, because of developments in north of Iraq, it was closed.

Tamarchin Border point was officially opened 11 years ago and played noticeable role in regional economic.
