IRNA Senior Iranian lawmaker on Friday described the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and G5+1 (US, UK, Russia, China, France plus Germany) as fruitless.
The JCPOA was fruitless for the nation and will not also produce an outcome in the future, the Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Rapporteur Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said.
He said that the country's problems will not be resolved through talks with signatories of the nuclear deal rather they can only be addressed through enhancement of cooperation with the neighboring, Latin American, Central Asian and African nations.
US President Donald Trump on May 8 pulled out Washington from Iran nuclear deal and reinstated sanctions on Tehran.
This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union, have repeatedly stressed that keeping the 2015 deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
Iran has given a deadline to the European sides of the nuclear talks to provide Islamic Republic with enough guarantees in a way that Tehran's interests are secured.
