MNA In a match held on Friday at Tehrans Azadi stadium, Irans national volleyball team gained a 3-1 victory over South Korea in the final week of FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
The match started with 40 minutes delay at 19:10 local time since the previous 5-set rally between Germany and Bulgaria had taken longer than usual which finally end in favor of Germans.
Iran took the first, third and fourth sets (27-25, 25-22, 25-23) while losing the second one (23-25).
Gaining 16 points, Milad Ebadipour was the top scorer for Iran while 19-year-old Saber Kazemi showed astonishing performance at the first set and secured 12 points, including 4 blocks.
Both Iran and South Korea do not have any chance to advance to the next round and only play for pride.
Another point of the match was that Azadi stadium capacity had been full of Iranian fans who had waited long for these days to support their team. Women also had given the opportunity to watch game at the stadium.
Iran will face Bulgaria on Saturday at 18:30 local time.
