MNA Spokesperson of the parliament's commission on national security and foreign policy has called for retaliatory actions for Europe's failure to provide Iran with an appropriate package.

Seyed Hossein Naghavi Hosseini said that the European countries promised to make up for Irans losses as a result of US unlawful withdrawal from the nuclear deal and reinstating the secondary sanctions with offering a package in two months, but the delivered package neither makes up for Irans losses nor ensures that the Europeans themselves will remain committed to their obligations.

He further noted that the package offers some general promises and lacks an action plan, adding that it does not meet any of Irans expectations and ignores Irans rights.'

He said that for those reasons President Rouhani described it as disappointing.

The Iranian lawmaker said that given the fact that the two-month EU deadline has passed and the Europeans have not provided guarantees for securing Irans interests in the JCPOA, the Islamic Republic must prepare the grounds for putting into practice the already existing Iranian parliaments Reciprocal and Proportional Action in Implementing the JCPOA Act as the talks with the Europeans are unlikely to yield any results.

There are a number of strategic and technical factors that prevent Europe from acting independently of the United States, he said.

He described increasing uranium enrichment capacity to 190000 SWU upon the request of the Leader of the Islamic Republic as the best reaction to the new circumstances.

He further pointed out that the Parliament will follow up on the implementation of the Leaders order.
