IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted Bent in southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan on Sunday.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 6:21 hours local time (01:51 GMT) in an area located at 26.62 degrees latitude and 58.98 degrees longitude and at the depth of 10 km underground.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), managing director of Sistan and Baluchestan governorate crisis management office Reza Arbabi said the quake has so far left no damage or casualties.
Iran sits on major fault lines and is prone to near-daily earthquakes.
