Press TV - Fighters from Yemens Houthi Ansarullah movement have targeted a Saudi warship off the countrys western coast in retaliation for the Riyadh regimes deadly military campaign on the impoverished nation.
Arabic-language al-Masirah television network tweeted on Wednesday that Yemens naval force had targeted the Saudi militarys Dammam battleship.
So far, there has been no comment from the Saudi-led coalition. There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties either.
Saudi Arabia and its allies launched the war in March 2015 in support of Yemens former Riyadh-friendly government and against the Houthis.
Yemeni forces regularly target positions inside Saudi Arabia and fire rockets at the coalitions warships in retaliatory attacks against the Riyadh-led military operation on Yemen.
Last month, the Yemeni navy said it had managed to target a warship belonging to the Saudi-led coalition off the coast of Mukha port city in Taizz Province.
According to a military source, the warship was carrying out hostile acts in the territorial waters of Yemen when it was targeted.
