SHANA - Iran is planning to launch the third and last phase of Persian Gulf Star Gas Condensate Refinery by the end of the current calendar year to March 20 2019, which would bring the country's total gasoline production capacity to 107 million liters per day.
The National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC) CEO Alireza Sadighabadi told IRIB that 10 refineries across the country were currently supplying over 90 ml/d of petrol, adding average production in the first half of the previous calendar year stood at 63 ml/d and reached 78ml/d in the fourth quarter of the year.
He further said that supply of gasoline to northern provinces of the country was being carried out normally despite the bulging increase in demand in the region.
The official further added that the Rouhani Administration and the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum had instructed no new petrol price policies to NIORDC so far.
