IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani sent a message to his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella, expressing condolences to him, Italian government and nation particularly the families of victims on Genoa bridge collapse which claimed the lives of scores of people.

In his message, Rouhani said the news of the bridge collapse on a highway in Genoa which killed and wounded scores of people saddened him.

'On behalf of the Iranian government and nation, I express my sympathy with Your Excellency, the Italian government and nation particularly the families of victims.

President Rouhani also wished health and success for President Mattarella and prosperity for the Italian people.
